FAQs

What are the veil length options that you offer?2022-03-07T17:24:35+00:00

Fingertip Length Veil –  42” / 106cm

This classic veil length falls just below the hip point and just above the fingertips.

A fingertip length veil offers versatility in terms of styling and can be worn with more intricate dress styles to ensure that the focus remains on the wedding dress.

The lightweight tulle and shorter length is popular with brides who want the option of wearing their veil during the ceremony through to the evening reception.

Waltz Length Veil –   60” / 152cm.

A Waltz length veil compliments a bridal dress by offering the look of a longer veil without actually touching the floor.

This veil length offers the styling and beautiful volume of a longer veil whilst at the same time offering the manoeuvrability of a shorter veil if a bride wishes to wear her veil throughout the day and into the night.

Waltz veils with intricate embellishment compliment simple and shorter wedding dress styles for brides who intend to wear their bridal outfit throughout the day

Floor Length Veil – 75” / 190cm

Floor length veils are designed to match the length of a bride’s dress with volume added as the dress glides down the aisle.

Dependent on her height, the floor length veil creates a little pool behind the wedding dress, for brides who want the classic wedding look but without the longer length of a chapel or cathedral length veil.

Typically worn with a bridal gown or longer wedding dress style but with limited train.

Chapel Length Veil     90” / 228cm

Chapel length veils are the considerably one of the most popular lengths and work beautifully with every bridal style, from chic and minimal to opulent lace trimmed. This veil length works particularly well when worn with a longer wedding dress with the veil train extending just beyond and framing the edge of the wedding dress.

Classically elegant and dramatic, Chapel style veils also serve as fantastic wedding photography props and can add stunning results to your wedding photography.

Cathedral Length Veil     112” / 284cm

The longest and most traditional wedding veil style in our collection, a Cathedral veil ensures that any bride makes a grand, regal entrance to her venue with a dramatic yet impressive effect.

Cathedral veil styles are most suited to weddings taking place in grand or open settings to allow for movement and full a full display of the tulle. Offering a perfect opportunity for brides to make a sophisticated personal statement on their wedding day.

Worn usually with a wedding dress & train, the cathedral veil style extends further still sweeping across the floor as a bride walks down the aisle as an extension of any wedding dress.

Please note that changes in design elements from our made to order collections, such as lace, appliqué and embellishment are all part of our bespoke design service and a consultation must be booked to discuss your ideas further.

We advise brides-to-be that bespoke wedding veils are as unique as the bride herself and therefore we do not have a set price for this service. We offer personalised embroidery on a selection of our veils with a maximum length of 18cm. Prices for this service start at £65 – £90.

How do I store my veil?2022-03-07T17:18:57+00:00
  • Remove the veil from packaging and use the hanging clip provided.  Hang in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight.
  • There may be some natural creasing in your veil from transit, once stored correctly these should drop out within a couple of days.
  • If you prefer to steam your veil we suggest using a professional service only.
  • Do not iron your veil, the fabric will distort and can damage the tulle.
  • All steaming should be handled with extreme care and precautions.
  • Each of our veils is packaged in a Rebecca Andrews gift box, made from 99% recycled boxboard from FSC approved forests and is 100% recyclable. After use we recommend that the veil is stored in the box provided.
  • Each veil is meticulously hand made to order in our Manchester studio and the current lead-time for manufacture is four weeks.
  • We highly recommend ordering one of our fabric swatches prior to ordering your veil, to ensure a correct colour match.
